What the weather is like
Progreso has a hot semi-arid climate (Köppen BSh): little rain, large day–night swings and strong sunshine.
The warmest month is May, when afternoons average 35° and nights 21°. January is the coolest month, with highs of 26° and lows of 20°. The difference between the warmest and the coolest month is about 6°, a small seasonal swing typical of places tempered by the sea.
