Information, not advice
Places of Earth provides climate statistics, forecasts and facts to help you plan. Climate normals describe typical conditions, not what will happen on a given day, and forecasts can be wrong. In the mountains, at sea and in severe weather, always check official warnings from the national weather service and local authorities.
Mountains and outdoor activities
Summit figures are modelled estimates. They do not replace local knowledge, avalanche bulletins, mountain guides or proper equipment. You are responsible for your own safety.
Content and licences
Text, scores, charts and design are © Places of Earth. Photographs, map data and imagery belong to their authors and providers and are used under the licences listed on our data page and on each photo. You may quote individual figures with a link to the page they come from; systematic copying or scraping of the site is not permitted.
