Itampolo has a hot semi-arid climate (Köppen BSh): little rain, large day–night swings and strong sunshine.
The warmest month is February, when afternoons average 31° and nights 25°. July is the coolest month, with highs of 25° and lows of 18°. The difference between the warmest and the coolest month is about 7°, a small seasonal swing typical of places tempered by the sea.
