About the site

"Magliana Vecchia" is the name of the 40th urban administrative zone of the Comune di Roma. It is located to the southwest of the city center and straddles the Grande Raccordo Anulare (Ring Road) line that circles the city. The compilers of the Barrington Atlas noted that this place includes a "bridge" and a "settlement". In terms of archaeological remains, numerous sites have been identified in and around Magliana Vecchia, including a Roman bridge and several villas.
